April 5 - Miami Valley Chapter of Credit Unions Participates in Deal or No Deal Casting Call!

The Miami Valley Chapter of Credit Unions helped to sponsor the Deal or No Deal Casting Call held at the Miami Valley Centre Mall in Piqua , which is 30 miles north of Downtown Dayton.  In exchange for a $5 donation to the Marching Miles campaign for Children's Miracle Network, Volunteers held the donor's place in line while they took a 15-minute break. They also had three “VIP Front of the Line Passes” which were auctioned off to the top bidders.  Approximately 20 volunteers helped with the event from the following organizations - DayMet CU, Universal 1 CU, Standard Register FCU, Wright-Patt CU, Dayton Children's Medical Center , and Devon Eley ( Ohio 's CMN Champion), and his Family.  With their help, $2,537.71 was raised towards the Miami Valley Chapter's Marching Miles goal of $7,425.00. 

The first volunteers arrived at 5 am and packed up to leave at 5:30 pm .  Even though it was a long day, everyone who helped was extremely energetic, friendly, and supportive of this cause.  Special thanks go out to the event committee members, Danielle Deramo (U1), Cindy Smith (DayMet), Karen Young (SRFCU), and Kristina Hurlburt (SRFCU) for helping to make this event a success!
