Day 9 - Springfield to Yellow Springs

Our Marchers reach their next destination spot, YS Federal Credit Union!

Monday - Aril 9^th and the March for Miracle Kids continues. This is the 9^th day of the “March”. Kathy Allen, Geoff Peters and Bill Butler marched today on the Little Miami Scenic Trail. The group of 3 started at the Springfield Heritage Center in downtown Springfield with a nice send off sponsored by The Education Credit Union where Kathy Allen, CEO and Mindy Baumgardner, Member Service Representative provided Starbucks coffee to the “Marchers” who needed the warm brew before heading out again in the Ohio spring (or maybe winter).

Kathy led the way through southern Springfield onto the trail heading south to Yellow Springs. It was a 10 mile march and the pace was brisk. The “Marchers” were surprised that they had reached Yellow Springs within 2 ½ hours! The “Marchers” enjoyed each others company and built new friendships. By the end of the trail the “Marchers” knew they had accomplished an important part of the 19 day trek to Cincinnati in support of Ohio’s children.

Yellow Springs Credit Union led by Karen Wolfe, CEO warmly welcomed the sore “Marchers” in their newly renovated space. The food was delicious and greatly appreciated.
