Day 6 - Van Buren State Park to Millstream Area CU

Our Marchers reach their sixth destination spot.

Jason Parkins kicked off the day with an interview on a local Findlay area radio station.

Marchers convened at Van Buren State Park in Findlay to set out for their 8.5 mile march. Jason Parkins and Karen Reams of Millstream Area Credit Union waved goodbye as the marchers began their journey.

Everyone was prepared for a rainy, stormy day but was pleasantly surprised by the warm sun. Along the journey, many interesting sights were seen -- a crawdad, a deer leg, and plenty of road kill.

The tired marchers arrived to a fantastic reception hosted by Millstream Area Credit Union. After our 8.5 mile hike facing the wind, everyone was ready for some food and refreshments from Kimmels Mountain Meats.

The marchers were greeted by several individuals including, Mayor Pete Shenert, City Council President Robert Schuck, State Senator Steve Buehrer, State Representative Cliff Hite, City Council Members, John Florian (Ohio Credit Union League), and Bill Butler (Ohio HealthCare Federal Credit Union).
