Day 5 - Urbana to Springfield
Thursday April 5, Ohio Credit Union Marchers continued their march toward Cincinnati. Again, the marchers braved a cold day for April. This was the first day the marchers were in the Miami Valley Chapter region and had the advantage of using the beautiful Simon Kenton Trail which added to the enjoyment of the day.
The marchers were graciously launched by the staff of Grimes Credit Union in Urbana. Among the marchers were 2 of our youngest marchers yet. Kelly and Katie O'Connell joined thier mom Christy and dad Alec to advance the official CMN medallion to Springfield. They were accompanied by a couple of hearty marchers Janie Wisenbarger, her daughter Jennifer and Jill Cottone while Laurie McNeely piloted the indespensible RV.
The "Marchers" were met along the trail by Jim Kitchen CEO of International Harvester ECU and Robb White Marketing Director of International Harvester ECU. They helped finish the march which concluded with a welcome at their Credit Union.
