Day 2 - Utica to Mount Vernon

Monday morning, the ambitious walkers left to brave the elements on the march from Utica, crossing into Knox County, and on to Mount Vernon. The groups travelled in packs, one solo, one with three and one pack of four. Travelling mostly county roads, they passed the time counting roadkill and cursing at the hills, while the precipitation changed from mist, to rain, to snow, then back to mist. The marchers then finally arrived in Mount Vernon, ending at the Mount Vernon High School. Cold, wet, sore and tired, but smiling, since all completed the 12+ mile link in miserable weather and since there was hot chocolate in the RV for them.
