Day 14 - New Bloomington to Marion
The weather forecast wasn't promising, but we set out on our march while the sun was still shining. We all decided we needed to walk fast and beat the rain! So, we kept up our pace and prayed for the rain to hold off.
The march was a long one, 13.9 miles. Lots of pretty countryside. Unfortunately, lots of road kill comes with that. We also caught the fresh air of several farms...this only made us move faster to get away from the unpleasant smells!
We reached our destination early afternoon, Marion Community Credit Union. They greeted us with a lunch buffet of deli sandwiches, chips, and cookies. The local radio station, 94.3, was there to greet us. Jaime Crooks was interviewed on the radio to give an overview of our day's march.
Oh, and just as we all walked inside, the rain started to fall! Our Marchers:
Lesli Beynon (Ohio HealthCare FCU)
Glenn Coble (Marion Community CU)
Jaime Crooks (Ohio HealthCare FCU) - part-time RV driver
Christy O'Connell (Ohio HealthCare FCU)
Sandra Zegar (Ohio HealthCare FCU) - part-time RV driver
